“At the Mercy of Wolf Waco!”

A menacing figure in black — the feared Wolf Waco — bursts through a saloon doorway, guns at the ready, scattering a crowd of alarmed townspeople in every direction. The cover dialogue makes the stakes plain: even the Two-Gun Kid's reputation isn't enough to shake this villain's confidence, and that tension crackles right off the page. Jack Kirby's pencils and Dick Ayers' inks deliver a wonderfully kinetic Western standoff that makes this 1961 Marvel ten-center a fine showcase for the frontier action the series does so well.
