Two Gun Kid #36

From Atlas Comics in 1957, this issue promises "All Brand-New Two-Gun Kid Tales" and kicks off with the saga of the legend itself. Joe Maneely's cover art presents the Two-Gun Kid front and center — arms crossed, twin holsters buckled and ready — while surrounding vignettes swirl with frontier action: a gunfight erupting in flames near a stagecoach, reward and wanted posters scattered at his boots, and a tense standoff between a young boy and a rifle-toting figure by a fence. At just a dime, this is a fine snapshot of Atlas-era Western storytelling at its most confident.
