From out of the blazing Wild West rides a cover that crackles with frontier tension — Joe Maneely's artwork puts Two-Gun Kid front and center in a fierce shootout atop what appears to be a train car, squaring off against a colorful gang of outlaws including a sharply dressed villain in a top hat firing from above. This January 1955 Atlas Comics issue promises "a Western epic you'll never forget" with the Kid's story "Human Bait!" delivering the kind of no-nonsense action that made the series a reliable monthly treat at just a dime.
