Two Gun Kid #11

Syd Shores and Norman Steinberg deliver a wonderfully chaotic cover for this 1953 Atlas Western, showing the Two-Gun Kid — blond, red-scarfed, and guns blazing — leaping through a smashed fence as a rearing black horse scatters outlaws in every direction. One masked gunman squares off against him at close range while two more are caught in the tumbling wreckage below, capturing perfectly why the cover bills him as "The Fastest Gunman in the Wild West!" At a dime a copy, this December issue is a vivid snapshot of Atlas Comics at full Western gallop.
