Published in 1983 by Het Humanistisch Verbond, Twaalf cartoonisten is a Dutch collection bringing together the work of twelve distinctive cartoonists — AnoNe, Jos Collignon, Arend van Dam, Tom Janssen, Willem van Manen, Frits Müller, Len Munnik, Opland, Peter van Straaten, Stefan Verwey, Silvia Weve, and Kees Willemen — each contributing their own pencils and inks to the project. Unfortunately no cover image is available to describe the visual presentation, but the sheer breadth of talent assembled here makes this a compelling snapshot of Dutch cartooning in the early 1980s. A genuine collaborative showcase from an era when editorial cartooning in the Netherlands was flourishing.
