Turok, Son of Stone #2

In "Friend of the Wolf," Turok, Andar, and their loyal companion Ski-Yu leave the mesa to avoid a growing rift with Chief Nahunk, after the wolf damages the chief’s axe. Their journey leads them through a hidden cave into a new canyon, where Ski-Yu’s quick instincts save a stone-age woman and her child from a curious Stegosaurus. Grateful, the woman’s tribe offers food and friendship, forging a new bond in the wild.

When a sudden cloudburst floods his den, Lotor leads his family on a frantic search for shelter. With dinosaurs prowling the storm-soaked woods, he fights off one beast and steers his family clear of another. At last, the mother raccoon chooses a tree with a sturdy hollow—her final verdict: a safe, dry home, high above the dangers below.

In "The Angry River," Turok and Andar race to protect the people of the mesa after water-carriers are ambushed by a T-Rex. When the beast is felled, a new threat emerges—raiders from upstream, driven by desperation and hunger. As the two warriors track them to a precarious rock bridge spanning a churning gorge, the floodwaters rise without warning, unleashing chaos on the valley below. With the river raging and enemies scattered, Turok and Andar face a battle not just against nature, but against the forces that have long shaped the land’s hidden dangers.

In "Dinosaur of the Deep," Turok and Andar are trapped in a hidden network of deep canyons beneath the Carlsbad cliffs, where ancient life persists in isolation. With an earthquake flooding the area and rising waters threatening to drown them, the pair builds a raft to escape, rescuing a group of cliff-dwellers along the way. As they settle on the mesa, they learn the local people guard a secret passage to food, and Turok teaches them to fish—until the water suddenly stirs with a monstrous elasmosaur. When Andar is swept into the depths, Turok must face the creature to save him and a young girl, then flee as the dam collapses and the floodwaters recede.

In "Danger at the Nest," a mother pteranodon faces a deadly threat when a hungry dimetrodon climbs toward her nest to feast on her newborn hatchlings. With no time to flee, she sacrifices her wing, feigning injury to lure the predator away, then leaps from the cliff to escape. Later, healed and strong, she returns to the nest, only to find new hatchlings waiting—her fierce protectiveness renewed.

In "Seeks the Trail to Freedom," Turok and Andar struggle to climb out of a treacherous canyon, their escape complicated by a twisted ankle and endless cliffs. With Andar injured, Turok forges a new path—breaking a wild horse he names Wind Racer to serve as a makeshift crutch—while navigating dangers including a Dimetrodon and a sudden earthquake that seals their way out. As the canyon collapses around them, the bond between Turok, Andar, and their companions Ski-Yu and Wind Racer is tested in the desperate fight for survival.
