Margo’s father Azor is hated by the people of his fishing village because he sends men to the sea in unfit ships. After her mother’s death, Margo lives with Anne and her son Kim, but one day her father reclaims her. Years pass, and more men die due to Azor’s hatred of the town and its people. Kim is rescued, but when he learns Margo is Azor’s daughter, he rejects her. However, his mother says Margo is not to blame. Kim and Margo are the only survivors of a tidal wave that destroys the town and Azor.
