Iris is married to club golf pro Ken, who spends a lot of time with woman golfer Jerry. Iris begins an affair with Dave, and bribes young caddy Tommy to ruin Ken’s chances in a big golf match: if Ken plays poorly and loses his job, he’ll leave town and Iris can stay with Dave. Tommy double-crosses Iris and Ken wins. Dave, who lost money betting against Ken, calls Iris “a cheap two-timer” and dumps her. Iris confesses all to Ken and suggests they try again. She also offers to adopt Tommy and make it a real family.
