June fell in love with a commercial traveler who is only in town once every fortnight. He couldn't imagine himself tied to a desk all day, but June told him that, if he really loved her, he would accept a desk job he had been offered in town. Reluctantly, he agreed and she waits for him to return from his last trip, thinking he would never go away again. Instead, she receives a letter from him saying he can't go through with it.
