Sally writes an article on car racing from the woman's angle that is critical of the aggressive driving of star racer Judd Baxter. After the article, Sally is on her way to a party on a rainy evening when a car has to break suddenly to avoid hitting her. The driver of the car offers to drive her to the party. He discovers who she is, but she doesn't realize he is Judd Baxter. Realizing how she feels about him from the article, he keeps his true identity from her as a romance develops between them over the following days.
