Claire finds herself caught between two worlds—her growing connection with a struggling artist named Rick and the unexpected spotlight of a quirky advertising campaign that turns her into the face of a soda brand called 'Kookie'. A 60-cent comic in 1970, it captures the small, poignant choices that shape a life, all rendered in Carrillo’s expressive, understated style.

Claire is offered a job modeling for posters at a commercial art studio owned by a hard-up lord. The painter she models for aspires to be a serious painter and she grows fond of him. Then the owner's niece uses her uncle's title to get an American woman to allow their publicity agency to handle cinema commercials for 'Kookie-Kooler'. With little money available, the ragtag organization uses Claire to act in the commercials as 'Kookie'. As the commercials become a big success, Claire has to choose between modeling for Rick or pursuing her fledging acting career.
