As a female, music publishers won't take Gay seriously as a songwriter. In desperation, she dresses in a Santa costume to try to get the Beatsters to listen to her song. However, she is found out when the man who was hired to play Santa shows up at the same time. Humiliated, she tries to run away but slips and falls. A stranger sees the sad Santa lying in the snow and his voice and smile cheer her up. Only when they have spent several days together does he reveal that he is the road manager for the Beatsters.
