It follows the delicate dynamics between two longtime friends, Ann and Celia, now reunited after years apart—Celia, recovering from a life-altering accident, and Ann, invited to help ease her isolation. When the group sets out on Jeff’s yacht, the quiet tension beneath the surface begins to stir, especially as Jeff’s attention drifts toward Ann during a skin-diving excursion.

Ann and Celia had been friends since they were on the England swimming team that visited America. Celia got married to the young owner of an airline and they settled in Florida. After Celia was involved in a car accident that left her unable to walk, her doctor recommended that they get a friend to keep her company and Ann was invited. When the four of them go out on Jeff's yacht, Jeff spends more time skin-diving with Ann than he does his own wife.
