When one of Vicky's students commits suicide, letters and poems indicate that he was desperately in love with her. Vicky was unaware of Colin's letters, but many people believe she must have led him on so she goes to Scotland to be alone for six weeks. When she arrives at her landlady's remote cottage, she finds a man there whose car has broken down. What she doesn't know is that Colin's father blames her for her son's death and has followed her to Scotland to seek revenge.
