After leaving on a trade mission to Barovia, the radio reports that Sue's boyfriend has been arrested and charged with spying. Soon afterwards, Sue is escorted to the Barovian embassy where she is pressured to provide information about the rocket fuel her boss is working on in exchange for her boyfriend's safety.
