A young girl parachutist meets the head of 'Fielding's Flying Circus' when one of his planes comes dangerously close her parachute during a charity show at Pangley Airfield. Eddie enjoys being with Ena, but Sonia immediately warns Ena to stay away from him. Despite the warning, they continue to spend time together. Eventually, Ena learns that Eddie had been fooling around with Sonia, the wife of his best friend, before his friend had died in a plane crash that Eddie had survived by bailing out in time. Since then, Sonia had used Eddie's guilt to maintain her control over him.
