This issue is an anthology featuring three main stories: "Dive Bomber with the Marines in the South Pacific," which depicts American naval aviation combat operations; "Wings of Courage," a biography of Flight Lieutenant Richard Hillary, R.A.F.; and a comic story about Santos-Dumont, the Brazilian aviation pioneer, who builds a small hot-air balloon called "The Brazil" and demonstrates it to Parisians while teaching flying lessons. The issue also includes technical articles and photographs about contemporary military aircraft such as the Vought-Sikorsky Corsair, the Stinson Sentinel, and the Russian MiG-3 fighter, along with plans for building model planes.
