Trollskogen #2

From Swedish publisher Rabén & Sjögren comes this 2016 entry in John Holmvall's Trollskogen series — and the cover immediately pulls you into something wonderfully unsettling. A wide-eyed, blonde child clings tightly to the back of a massive, shaggy troll-like creature deep in a mossy, shadowy forest, the title Vilse i Trollskogen ("Lost in the Troll Forest") perfectly capturing that eerie, fairy-tale tension. Holmvall's detailed, earthy artwork gives the scene a storybook atmosphere that feels both charming and genuinely a little creepy.
