Speed Savage [Whitemask] and his friends—Veronica Lone, Gloria Mason, Roy Thoms, and William Brezlitt—take a summer vacation at Pine Lake, but their getaway turns tense when a string of dangerous accidents threatens the local lodge. When Speed uncovers Brezlitt’s involvement in the sabotage, a mysterious hunchback intervenes, killing him before answers can be had. As the group prepares for a motorboat race, the hunchback remains a shadowy presence, watching from the trees.
