The starkly minimal cover of Trees #7 says everything about humanity's place in a world claimed by alien machines — a lone figure carrying a briefcase walks alongside a row of massive, spider-legged black cylinders, each glowing with a single yellow eye, dwarfed to near-insignificance by their scale. Jason Howard's linework is coolly precise, leaning on negative space and shadow to give these silent, indifferent structures an unsettling weight.
