Travis #6

From Daedalus's 2011 Belgian sci-fi series, Travis #6 — "Vinex blues" — delivers a striking cover by Christophe Quet that immediately commands attention. A young woman with wild red hair, weapon in hand, stands her ground on a lit path as an enormous, spider-like mechanical titan looms behind her, its massive clawed arms spread wide and glowing eyes cutting through the dramatic darkness. Fred Duval and Sophro's series continues in cycle 2 ("Vitruvia"), and with colors by Pierre Schelle and Stéphane Rosa lending the scene a cool, atmospheric tension, this is science fiction comics at its most visually compelling.
