In "Powermasters!", Goldbug, Getaway, Joyride, and Slapdash land on the planet Nebulos seeking to rebuild Optimus Prime using the Nebulans’ advanced technology. They soon discover that two Decepticons have already bonded with two Nebulans, who can transform into their power packs, turning the planet’s inhabitants into living weapons. With the help of the Nebulan Hi Q, Optimus Prime is restored—and undergoes the same bond, merging his mind with a new form. Getaway, Joyride, and Slapdash follow suit, forging their own connections with other Nebulans. As the Autobots prepare to confront the Decepticons, the fate of the planet and their new alliances hangs in the balance.
