Top Spot #2 is an anthology of man-sized adventures in picture-strips. "Moonrocket" recounts the true story of American scientists at Cape Canaveral attempting to launch a research rocket to the moon on August 17th; the rocket explodes seventy seconds after firing due to a malfunction in the Titan's safety mechanism. A western story depicts a gambling duel between a man and an antagonist over cards, with the protagonist's death orchestrated through a planted gun. "Once Too Often!" presents the historical account of Baron von Richthofen, the celebrated German fighter pilot of World War I, and describes his final aerial combat during the war.
