Tomahawk #94
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis October 1964 DC Western takes a wonderfully strange turn with "Rip Van Ranger," as the cover by Bob Brown throws multiple frontier fighters into a harrowing mid-air predicament — tangled in a vast spider's web clutched by the enormous taloned claws of some monstrous flying creature. A white-haired man in purple raises his rifle helplessly from a clifftop while his companions dangle in the webbing above the clouds, one of them crying out the desperate question: "If we hang onto this flyin' cobweb, or if we drop, we're goners! But what can ol' Rip do to help us?" It's a genuinely wild premise that blends frontier adventure with creature-feature thrills, making this one of the more memorable covers in the Tomahawk run.
