Tom & Jerry Comics #72

Two small mice dash across the ice-cube tray of an open refrigerator while a startled, wide-eyed Tom looms at the door in a wonderfully chaotic scene — Lynn Karp's cover pencils capture the duo's mischievous energy with real charm. Dell's July 1950 issue packs a generous 52 pages of all-comics fun for just a dime, and the film-strip border down the left side teases even more characters waiting inside. It's a delightful snapshot of mid-century cartoon comics at their most playful.
