Tom Corbett Space Cadet #8

Tom Corbett and his crew encounter a giant tiger on an alien planet and take shelter in a cave. After discovering their ship's motor is damaged, they devise a plan to use wire coiled around the ship's hull and the atomic-electric generator to transform the Polaris into an electro-magnet. With the ship converted into a magnet, they successfully complete their repairs and prepare to escape the planet.
