Tom and Jerry Annual #1971

In "Getting in the Act," Tom, Jerry, and Tuffy grow tired of their usual chase and hatch a scheme to join a circus—Jerry and Tuffy will scare the elephant while Tom gets hired to "handle" them, splitting the pay afterward. But after sampling the circus's sweet treats, the mice change plans, using licorice whip trunks to pose as baby elephants protected by Gertrude, the real elephant.

Tom, Jerry, and Tuffy hop a freight train bound for Florida, hoping to outrun the brutal winter freeze—only to find themselves locked inside a chilly refrigerated rail car, where the cold is anything but a welcome relief.
