Titans Annual #2

Titans Annual #2 promises a wild oversized adventure with a premise the cover spells out perfectly: "The Great Brain Robbery — Cyborgs, Assassins and One Angry Ape!" Paul Pelletier and Andrew Hennessy's cover delivers on that tagline spectacularly, depicting a beret-wearing, ammo-belted gorilla wielding a machine gun atop what appears to be an enormous exposed brain, while the Flash crackles with lightning on the left, a green-clad fighter lands a kick, an archer takes aim, and a dark-suited hero scrambles across the chaotic scene. Dan Abnett scripts this extra-length issue with art from Tom Grummett and Tom Derenick, making this 2018 annual a genuinely entertaining entry in the Titans' ongoing DC Universe adventures.
