A young woman lands a lucrative modeling gig for a soap advertisement—complete with a handsome co-star and a fake wedding ceremony—but her eager boyfriend mistakes the photo shoot for the real thing and crashes the set to stop her. Tippy volunteers to bake a cake for the orphans' bazaar, but her rival Peggy sabotages the creation with nuts and bolts from her brother's collection to make Tippy look foolish. When the cake mysteriously ends up at the bazaar anyway—via a runaway delivery and a dramatic confrontation with a robber—Tippy discovers her disastrous baking has become an unexpected triumph.

When Tommy's girl's father bans him from the house, his pal Eggy comes to the rescue with a remote-controlled airplane—a "winged messenger of love" designed to secretly deliver a note arranging a meeting at the Sugar Shoppe. But when the aircraft's controls jam mid-flight, Tommy's clever scheme threatens to go completely off the rails, and Tippy may have other plans entirely for what happens next.

Animal stumbles upon a sundial and, mistaking it for a bird bath, learns how this ancient timekeeping device actually works—much to the bewilderment of his less-than-patient friend. It's a quick, punchy lesson in how the sun's shadow can tell you the time, delivered with all the deadpan humor you'd expect from a '60s teen comic.

Tippy and her band get an unexpected telegram inviting them to perform at a fancy society party—but when they arrive at the Van Loot estate, the snooty butler turns them away. Their persistent playing outside catches Mrs. Van Loot's ear, and she invites them in to liven up what's turning into a stuffy affair, much to the horror of her guests. But when Ashley Hartburn shows up claiming credit for the gig and demanding his commission, he gets a dose of street justice courtesy of an old grudge.
