Time Before Time #21

Against a wash of deep amber, issue #21 of Time Before Time presents a haunting, almost meditative cover: a dark figure lies half-concealed beneath a tangle of gnarled branches and autumn leaves, with only a faint ember-red glow hinting at something alive — or dangerous — within the shadows. The minimalist composition is quietly unsettling, letting that single smoldering detail do a lot of heavy lifting. McConville, Shalvey, Coelho, O'Halloran, and Otsmane-Elhaou continue delivering one of Image's most visually thoughtful series in 2023.
