Golden Kid is placed in suspended animation by the Keeper in 1943 and is finally released in 1985. When his golden heart is hit by a laser gun, he ages into an adult and loses a portion of his powers. After he leaves the hospital, Tom begins to take night courses, takes up an interest in computers, and vows to get revenge on the Keeper as Golden Man.
