Part of Marvel NOW!'s darker corner of the universe, Thunderbolts #8 delivers a quietly unsettling cover by Julian Totino Tedesco: a tight, blood-red composition framing Deadpool's unmistakable belt buckle and holster alongside what appears to be a blood-soaked black cloak or figure — the whole image radiating a sense of grim aftermath. Phil Noto's interior art and Daniel Way's script for "Heavy Recon" promise the same moody, violent energy the team has been building throughout 2013.
