The penultimate chapter of "The Last Stand of the Thunderbolts" arrives in fitting form — a determined, quiver-ready Hawkeye stands front and center in his black-and-pink costume, bow in hand, while the fallen and battered figures of his teammates fill the shadowy background around him. It's a striking image of one archer refusing to quit even as the odds seem stacked against the team. Writer Jim Zub and artists Sean Izaakse, Netho Diaz, Víctor Nava, and colorist Java Tartaglia bring a real sense of weight and consequence to this fifth issue.
