Warren Ellis and Mike Deodato Jr. continue their unsettling run on "Caged Angels Part IV" with this striking issue from 2008. Marko Djurdjević's cover draws the eye downward through a vertiginous low-angle composition, where four figures — a pink-haired woman, a blonde woman, a dark-hooded armored figure, and a shadowy presence above — loom over the viewer with an air of barely contained menace. It's a team portrait that makes the Thunderbolts feel genuinely dangerous, and a compelling reason to see where Ellis takes these volatile characters next.
