Part of Marvel's 2007 "The Initiative" banner, this third chapter of Warren Ellis and Mike Deodato Jr.'s "Faith in Monsters" arc arrives with a striking Marko Djurdjević cover showcasing a fierce, flame-haired woman in a sleek grey-and-gold costume lunging forward with fist raised, while a gas-masked figure in a battered hazmat suit charges through a debris-filled battlefield behind her. Circular inset portraits along the right side hint at additional players — including what appear to be a helmeted figure, a wide-mouthed creature, and a shadowed face — suggesting a roster far deeper than the action up front. Ellis and Deodato's run on this series has been reshaping the Thunderbolts for a harder-edged era, and this issue looks to keep that momentum going strong.
