Thrilling Comics #20

A complete Doc Strange action adventure dominates the issue. In the main story, Doc Strange battles Nazi operatives attempting to sink a U.S. ship and steal its crown jewels, engaging in underwater combat with enemy soldiers. A secondary story follows a college athlete named Duffy who is suspended on evidence of cheating; when another student provides photos to clear his name, Duffy works to prove his innocence and restore his reputation. The American Crusader is also introduced as a new feature, described as a "fighting defender of democracy."
