Their desperate quest leads them through various hazards including encounters with killer fish and a live volcano, ultimately resulting in a climactic confrontation with robots controlled by a master switch. After successfully defeating the robot menace and rescuing the hermit scientist, the crusaders escape in a rocket ship bound for other worlds, leaving behind their symbol of justice as they depart the planet.
