“Into the Valley of Death!”

In "Into the Valley of Death!", Thor follows a cryptic lead from an old woman to a mysterious floating castle—same one where Balder once rescued three damsels, only to fall under their spell. Walter Simonson’s gripping storytelling and Sal Buscema’s dynamic art bring the mythic journey to life, as Thor races to uncover the truth behind the false Balder and the castle’s dark secrets. Finding the Balder in Asgard to be false (which is a good thing since Kurse killed him), Thor sets out to find the real deal. Balder, in the recent past, stormed a floating castle to save a trio of damsels from a troll, only to be put under their spell for his troubles. In the here and now, Thor is pointed to the same castle by an old woman.
