Thor #1 (2008, Panini España) marks the beginning of the fourth Spanish-language Thor ongoing series from Panini and serves as the first Spanish pamphlet-format home for J. Michael Straczynski and Olivier Coipel's landmark 2007 Marvel relaunch — itself one of the most structurally ambitious Thor relaunches since Walter Simonson's celebrated 1980s run. By reprinting Thor Vol. 3 #1 (USA), it brought Spanish readers the story that formally ended Thor's post-Ragnarök, post-Avengers Disassembled absence from the Marvel Universe, reintroducing the character with a new costume, a new earthly base in Oklahoma, and a philosophically richer relationship between Thor and his mortal alter ego Donald Blake. The Asgard-in-Oklahoma setting — unique in the character's history — gave the run a cultural weight that resonated well beyond superhero conventions and planted seeds for the Siege crossover, making this first issue the gateway to one of the most consequential Thor eras of the modern Marvel age.

The source material reprinted in this issue, Thor Vol. 3 #1 (USA, published June 2007), was itself the product of an unusually complex creative handoff: the concept of Asgard resurrected on the mortal plane of Earth originated with Neil Gaiman, who was unable to take on the series, after which Mark Millar briefly developed the idea before also stepping away, leaving J. Michael Straczynski — fresh off a celebrated run on Amazing Spider-Man — to carry it to publication alongside artist Olivier Coipel, known for his work on House of M. Panini España launched its reprinting of this material in April 2008 as a monthly grapa (stapled pamphlet) series, catalogued by Tebeosfera as the fourth Thor volume from Panini Comics España, printed at 26×17 cm and running 37 issues through April 2011.
