The fifth chapter of the Thomas Silane thriller series arrives with a cover that crackles with cold tension — a dark-jacketed man and a long-haired blonde woman stand in a snow-covered forest beside a red jeep, while a crouching gunman aims into the frame, and looming over the scene is an imposing close-up face clutching what appears to be a camera or optical device.
