This anthology contains multiple horror stories. "He Shall Have Vengeance" follows a warrior pursuing an enemy through a jungle while haunted by magical drums whose loudness drives him forward; he creates a duplicate idol to escape but is ultimately doomed by the natives' curse. "The Man Who Changed Bodies" depicts a wealthy financier who, after a time-warp accident causes amnesia, discovers through hypnotic regression that his consciousness has been displaced into another man's body from a different era. Additional stories teased on the cover include "Gus" and other supernatural tales typical of the series' horror-anthology format.
