This is an anthology issue featuring multiple horror tales. "Lotus-Eaters" follows a ship's crew who discover an island where native inhabitants have been killed and eaten by lotus-eating creatures; the crew members themselves fall under the creatures' drugging influence before barely escaping with their lives. Another story involves a man pursued by a mysterious supernatural force through a city at night, eventually boarding a ferry only to encounter the same inexplicable terror. A third tale depicts Victor Manson's struggle against a gate-keeper monster and an army of dead souls attempting to prevent his crossing of the River Styx, culminating in his narrow escape from the forces of the underworld.
