Thief of Thieves #25

The six-part "Hit List" arc reaches its conclusion here, and Shawn Martinbrough's cover sets the tension perfectly — a suited man and a woman in red blast away back-to-back with submachine guns, spent casings flying as muzzle flashes erupt around them. It's a sleek, noir-tinged image that captures everything Thief of Thieves does so well: style, danger, and two people very much in over their heads. Andy Diggle and Martinbrough make a sharp team, and this 2014 Image Comics finale looks like a fitting payoff to the arc.
