The World of Li'l Abner #U2249
In "Chapter One Sadie Hawkins' Day!", Li'l Abner panics at Uncle Future’s prophecy of marriage and vows to emulate the perpetually single Fearless Fosdick—only to find his mimicry backfires in the most unexpected way. Written and illustrated by Al Capp, this 1965 comic captures the absurd charm of Dogpatch with its signature satire, as Li'l Abner’s desperate attempt to avoid matrimony spirals into a surreal chain of events. The cover by Al Capp perfectly mirrors the story’s zany tone, making this a standout issue for fans of classic comic satire.
