Two enormous, insectoid creatures — part ant, part nightmare — menace a terrified man on what appears to be rocky, subterranean terrain, while a towering hive-like mound shaped unmistakably like a skull looms in the darkness behind them. Luis Dominguez's cover art for this April 1977 issue makes the tagline "It's Midnight..." feel genuinely ominous, setting the mood perfectly for the promise of "3 Shockers of Surprise and Suspense" within. DC's long-running anthology of dread delivers another chapter here, with George Kashdan writing and Lee Elias on art and inks for the featured tale, "Drone of the Dying.
