The Westerner #19 is an anthology containing multiple stories. "The Cylinder of Death!" depicts Sheriff Bob Hawks confronting the Omaha Kid over a deadly feud: the Kid claims Jed Summers killed his brother and cheated him out of silver mine profits, while Hawks warns that if violence erupts between them, he will ensure the killer hangs. "The Gambler and the Girl" follows a man attempting to hide from his past in Tombstone, Arizona, where he encounters a woman at a poker game and becomes entangled in the town's dangerous gambling underworld. The issue also includes historical tales such as the story of Chief Crazy Horse and the 1876 Battle of the Little Big Horn.
