The Wendy Project #[nn]
In a haunting blend of memory and myth, Wendy’s life fractures after a car accident leaves her and John stranded—Michael vanishes without a trace. Drawn into visions of Neverland that flicker through the world around her, she begins sketching the impossible, guided by her therapist’s quiet encouragement. As Wendy and John step into the realm of childhood dreams, they find Michael there, unchanged yet unfamiliar, his past a mystery even to himself. With art by Veronica Fish capturing every surreal detail and a narrative grounded in emotional truth, this is a story where loss, longing, and the fragile line between reality and imagination blur.

In a distracted moment Wendy drives her car off a bridge. She and John survive, but Michael disappears. She insists that she saw him flying off, and she sees glimpses of Neverland in the people and places around her. Her therapist gives her a sketch pad on which to draw the things she cannot say. She and John enter Neverland but although Michael likes them he has no memory of them or anything else. She takes John home before he too forgets. Michael's body is found at last. She accepts the reality, and her own responsibility for the accident.
