From the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, BOOM! Studios' ongoing series reaches its fourteenth issue with a cover by Skylar Patridge that's genuinely hard to look away from — a pink-haired young woman, wide-eyed and vulnerable, is enveloped by a cluster of long, dark, clawed hands reaching out of the shadows around her. The contrast between her vivid, luminous coloring and the encroaching darkness gives the image an almost painterly dread, setting a tense, atmospheric tone for Sarah Gailey's script brought to life interiorly by artist Kath Lobo and colorist Valentina Pinto.
