The Vampire Diaries #3

Inspired by the CW hit series, DC's The Vampire Diaries #3 brings together writer Colleen Doran and artist Cat Staggs for a story titled "Laces." The cover, painted by Staggs, draws you into a moody, moss-draped forest where a young man in a Civil War–era uniform sits pensively while a woman in a sweeping crimson gown stands behind him, and the ghostly, oversized face of a dark-haired woman looms hauntingly from the trees above them. It's a beautifully atmospheric composition that sets a tone of romance, mystery, and something lurking just beneath the surface.
