The Unwritten #24

From Vertigo's imaginative ongoing series, issue #24 of The Unwritten arrives in June 2011 with a cover by Yuko Shimizu that is genuinely hard to look away from. A large white rabbit — adorned with a vivid pink bow and studded with glowing doorways along its body — coils dramatically against a fiery orange-red background, surrounded by scattered arrows and golden swords piercing the ground beneath it. The unsettling charm of that image, paired with the story title "Stairway to Heaven" and the creative team of Mike Carey, Peter Gross, and Al Davison, makes this one of the more visually striking installments in the series.
